"Buckets" against Bullies!

Anthony "Buckets" Blakes may be a famous Globetrotter who loves to entertain the crowds with his impressive basketball skills, but he is certainly proud to be a children's advocate when it comes to bullying prevention.

"Buckets" had the kids (and teachers) laughing, clapping, and doing some amazing ball tricks while he shared the The ABC's of Bullying Prevention: Action, Bravery, and Compassion.

The local news stations were on campus to interview "Buckets".  I believe the segment aired on channel 13 at 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 pm.

Kingsbury Elementary students in grades 1-5 learned all about the history of the Globetrotters.  Breaking the color and gender barrier, the Globetrotters were the first professional basketball team to include a black player and the first to have a woman on the team!  There are currently three women on the team!

"Here we go! Ready? Three claps, Two claps, Two claps, One clap, Half clap."  That half clap tricked us every time!

"Buckets" had a hard time with that camera man in his face.   He kept trying to move away!
