Class News Feb. 11-15

What’s New
in Grade Two?
Feb. 11- Feb.15, 2013

The kids are having a great time exploring our blog and videos.  I'd have to say it has been most helpful with coding our sentences in the morning.  The adjective and grammar songs help with identifying parts of speech that are usually pretty difficult at this age.  You would be so proud to hear us when we're busy coding.  We rock!

I am sending home a sign up sheet for conferences.  There is only a 2-hour window, so I am only requesting conferences on the 18th with a few people.  If your child does not bring one home, I do not need to meet with you on this day.  Either your child is meeting academic/behavioral standards, or I have spoken to you recently about your child.

Mark 1, 2, 3 for your choices of times.  Send this in as soon as possible, and I will let you know which time was available.

We will have our class Valentine party on Thursday at 1pm.  This will be a time for the kids to pass out any valentine cards, candy, etc to their friends. We will post pictures on Valentine's Day so you can see us during our party!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with me.  Each one of them has so much potential to be someone great!
