Class News April 15-19

What’s New in Grade Two?
April 15-19, 2013

The TCAP test is NEXT WEEK!  We’ve been working hard to get ready and make sure we have some test-taking strategies in our back-pocket!  We know to take our time, read carefully, listen to instructions, stay on the right page, relax, mark out silly or unrealistic answer choices, reread, bubble in circles heavy and complete, and most importantly…believe in ourselves!

Parents, you can help us too!  Serve us healthy meals during the week, make sure we get lots of rest, get us to school on time every morning, and encourage us to do our best each day!

It's TCAP BootCamp Week!:
Monday-“Sock it” to the TCAP!
Wear mismatched socks.
Tuesday-“I’m a JEAN-ius!”
Wear jeans.
Wednesday-“Paint the halls ADVANCED!” Wear blue.
Thursday-“Be all you can be!”
Wear a Kinsgbury shirt.
Friday-“Ready for Action”
Wear camouflage or green.

Class News April 8-10

What’s New in Grade Two?
April 8-10, 2013

My trip to Italy was wonderful!  Not only did I get to visit some amazing places built in B.C. times, but also my daughter’s soccer team won the soccer tournament…which is the primary reason we went to Italy. Thanks for your support during my time away.  The substitute gave a good report about the students!

We are in full swing getting ready for TCAP in two weeks.  In class we will be doing lots of practice in TCAP form as well as learning test-taking strategies.  Be on the lookout for a flyer this week about our dress-up days next week to get us excited about the TCAP!
